120 mm Mortar Shells

The 120 mm mortar shell is a standard heavy mortar munition used by infantry and mechanized units. It is designed for indirect fire against targets concealed by terrain obstacles. Due to its steep ballistic trajectory, it is highly effective in complex terrain and urban environments. The typical effect combines blast pressure and fragmentation. Mortar ammunition allows for rapid response to fire missions. Compared to artillery, it has a shorter range, usually around 7–10 km. Its main advantages are system mobility and ease of operation.
